The Return of Forgotten GT cars

I need to find a Race Mod and Livery Editor thread, because we definitely need supercars race modded like the Aston Martins, Jaguars, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc.

Im glad we have the Diablo GT2 car. If only it had a couple of livery chip to choose from. That car would have been a better choice to offer the 15th Anniversary and base model than the Cizetta.

This one's my dream to return in GT6.

And finally,the old school ZZ2

It would be interesting to have more LMP's, but I enjoy lower power cars more.
I do too. I do want enough LMPs for a full 16 car grid without duplicates - and more in GT7. But like TRLWNC, my favored powerband is in the range of 200 - 650hp, so I want to see more cars appropriate for BTCC, WTCC, WRC, Super GT, the FIA GTs, ALMS, and DTM. Again, enough for a 16-plus car grid without duplicates.

I too would love to see some of these old forgotten cars return:
Mazda RX7 GTTurbo ’83 (J)
Mazda Cosmo TypeE ’94 (20b rotary)
Lexus SC400 V8 (V8 soarer)
Mark II Tourer V ’92 (earlier model chaser)
Skyline GTS25t Type M R33 '96 (rwd R33)
Mazda Familiar GTR
Nissan Pulsar GTi-R

In fact, this is one of the things that will determine whether I remain a fan of the series.
Its cars like these that made me become a fan of GT in the first place.
You couldn't find this much variety in any other game - rare street driven performance cars, that you might see on the road in real life from time to time.

:indiff:

You probably have most of these in the OP, as there are cars from GT1 to the GT5 2010 GT Academy demo

There are more cars missing though:
  • GT3: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7 Rally Car
  • GT Concept: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7 Rally Car Prototype
  • GT5: Gamestop #20 Camry, Camaro Edge Special and GT Academy cars (from 2011 and 2012)
  • GT6 Demo: GT Academy 2013 Leaf, GT Academy 2013 370z
(These are some examples not on TVB's list)

Other cars that have been seen in various instances (i.e. trailers or gameplay):
All the links (and quotes) enter the same thread. @Xenn also has threads on decoding the older GT's in their respective sub-forums (and @Castrol96 has one on GT4 Prologue). Others have done similar threads, but the ones by Xenn and Castrol96 are more recent

If you're talking about liveries as well, it gets even more complex. The YouTuber MattJ155 has many videos containing hidden liveries from GT Demos, not to mention that cars have seen livery changes over the years (i.e the hidden Lancia Stratos Rally Car in GT3 and the non-hidden one in GT4/5/6)

I manage an updated list HERE ;).

This does sound wish-listy though.

I used to love the Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GT-B with the purple and yellow livery. I long for that paint job to be included.............Anyone else feel the love for the GT1 paint options?

I'd like to see the mugen beat/civic, and the Mazdaspeed a b and c spec cars again

What really really needs to come back is the tigra ice car, espace f1 and the cultus

Don't even care if it's in standard form just so we can drive them is good enough honestly

Bring back all these great cars I say! Yes Gran Turismo 2 has a HKS 180SX drag car. The 180SX was a monster in Gran Turismo 2. Very, very fast. I'd like to drive the 180SX Drag, Venturi Atlantique, Plymouth Spyder, Chrysler Phaeton, Wiegert Vector & Renault Espace F1 again in Gran Turismo 6!

As far as I know, these two never showed up in GT5 or GT6.

Need these back & also newer versions. It don't make sense these being removed.

Many cars have been removed over the course of GTs history, what do you say to bringing some of the oldies back? Some like the following (Credit to DaBomm4 for the lists)

AND

And what about the F2007 and F10 from GT5, or the Toyota Pod from Geneva?
Even if not all of these cars are not brought back, surely some of them deserve a return.

Likes, comments, and thoughts are welcome!

~MS9.
Definitely the F2007 and 10'.
